How this compressor works
This PDF compressor tries two ways to reduce PDF file size. One path rewrites the PDF structure. The other renders pages as JPEG images inside a new PDF. Whichever output is smaller is the one you download. Rasterization is limited to 250 pages. It is not OCR and does not keep an editable page structure.
Why a PDF can stay large
Scans, photos, and already-compressed files may shrink only a little. If rasterization is used, text can stop being selectable or copyable. This tool does not run OCR, does not make scanned PDFs searchable, and does not unlock password-protected files.
